Summary: My Baby!!!
Comment: I love Love Love!!! This product .... I use it for a second oven when needed ( I have a large family ) and I use it for the holidays ... no more dry bird for me. I also purchased the air lid so not only do I not have a dry bird I don't have ghost bird like some roaster ovens leave you with.

Not only would I buy this again I also own the 12 QT version that I use for side dishes.

Summary: Nesco 18-Quart Roaster Oven
Comment: I received the oven very soon after placing my order.
Following the directions, I allowed the oven to 'burn-in'prior to use.
I roasted two chickens as per directions and they turned out great.
The non-stick cookwell worked pretty well but there were a couple of areas where burned-on chicken did stick.
Next time, just to be sure, I'll spray some non-stick cooking material to see if that cures this small problem.
Otherwise, I feel that this Nesco Roaster Oven does the job very well.

Summary: can't beat nesco
Comment: I have used this roaster several times and it works time after time. Clean up is a breeze. I like Nesco as a brand as I also have their 4 & 6Qt roasters.

Summary: Great for Camping!!!
Comment: Just love the product. I take mine camping and cook outside the camper. Keeps from heating up the place and traping in food smells that get into the carpet and upholstery.

Just bought mom and dad one too! They live in the desert and when the temperatures get over 100 degrees, they can cook outside and keep the house cool. :)

Very versital.

The importance of high quality knives can't be stressed enough! Buy the best you can and expect to spend some serious money. It is better to buy a couple of excellent knives and slowly add to your collection rather than buying an entire set of low quality knives. Start with a chef knife and paring knife. You will also want to buy a sharpening steel.

Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Maintain Electrical Safely
The insulation on electrical cords can become damaged by wear, flexing, or age. Do not use any cord that is stiff or cracked. Some clues that you may have an electrical problem are:
  • Flickering lights. If the lights dim every time you turn on an appliance that circuit is overloaded or has a loose connection.
  • Sparks. If sparks appear when you insert or remove a plug, they could be a sign of loose connections.
  • Warm electrical cord. If an electrical cord is warm to the touch, the cord is underrated or defective.
  • Frequent blown fuses or broken circuits. A fuse or circuit breaker that keeps tripping is an important warning sign of problems.
  • Frequent bulb burnout. A light bulb that burns out frequently is a sign that the bulb is too high a wattage for the fixture.
