Customer Reviews of George Foreman GRP90WGR Next Grilleration Removable-Plate Grill with 5 Plates, Red
Customer Rating: Summary: Easy to use - Easy to clean Comment: The grill is super easy to use. Very versatile and easy to clean. It does NOT have a large cooking area. If you're cooking for a large group you might want something with a larger cooking surface. The ease of cleaning and exchanging surface plates makes this a terrific product. Customer Rating: Summary: 3 days ago, this product new was only $49...WHAT HAPPENED???? NOW IT'S $122?????????????????????? Comment: I WON'T ORDER IT NOW!!! AN $80 PRICE JUMP UPWARD IN 3 OR 4 DAYS??? WHATS THE DEAL? Customer Rating: Summary: Workhorse with a few flaws Comment: I bought mine a few years ago, when it first came out, to replace the too-small GF grill I had. I find myself using this one almost every day - nothing beats scrambled eggs on toast in the morning, and a hot meal at night! The Pros: Easy to use Easy clean-up, especially with the GF sponges Large padded handle Detachable non-stick grill plates Quick heating and cooking time Durable The included guide has accurate cooking time guidelines You will find uses for it that you wouldn't have thought of when you bought it (like making sauces!) The Cons: The plastic handles on the sides of the grill plates are on the flimsy side The plates don't attach tightly after years of use Uneven heating Breakfast scrambles take about fifteen minutes, if you include eating time. I also like making grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches on it. The few times I tried waffles, the waffles cooked through unevenly, but they were still good. It's also easy to pop off the pans when they are hot and swap in substitutes - for instance, when making grilled chicken with an orange balsamic sauce. I normally just cook for myself, but the grill is a good size for small dinner parties too, especially if you have a toaster oven or warming pan to keep food warm while cooking the next course. As a side note, I take good care of my stuff. I clean the plates and the grill after I come home from work, and have only tossed the plates in the dishwasher once or twice.I would recommend this product to anyone who is a little patient. Customer Rating: Summary: George Foreman Grilleration Comment: This is my third GF grill. The first two were the jumbo sized grills. I loved using them, hated cleaning them! This one is j-u-s-t right ... it takes up less counter space, the fats drain off easier and it looks nicer. The actual grilling area doesn't seem so much smaller than the large ones I had before. The best part of it is, it is SO much easier to clean! Customer Rating: Summary: George Foreman Grill Comment: A very good product that exceeded my expectations. It is easy to use and very easy to clean (an important attribute). Higly recommend. Choosing Appliance -> Energy-Efficient Refrigerators The EnergyGuide label on new refrigerators will tell you how much electricity in kilowatt-hours (kWh) a particular model uses in one year. The smaller the number, the less energy the refrigerator uses and the less it will cost you to operate. In addition to the EnergyGuide label, don't forget to look for the Energy Star label. A new refrigerator with an Energy Star label will save you between $35 and $70 a year compared to the models designed 15 years ago. This adds up to between $525 and $1,050 during the average 15-year life of the unit. Choosing Appliance -> Ladles Look for ladles that are made of one piece of stainless steel rather than a handle and dome which are spot welded together. With use, spot welded ladles tend to come apart. Buy several differnet sizes. The first one covers the purchase price - think of it as a down payment. The second price tag is the cost of operating the appliance during its lifetime. You'll be paying on that second price tag every month with your utility bill for the next 10 to 20 years, depending on the appliance. Refrigerators last an average of 20 years; room air conditioners and dishwashers, about 10 years each; clothes washers, about 14 years. |
