Customer Rating:   Summary: Terrible buy Comment: Saw a terrible review with lots of good reviews and thought maybe the author did not know how to use the "newer" slow cookers. I do and this one looked like it would be a good one. Boy was I wrong. Used it one time and it was great. The second time as I was using it, the machine stopped working. Already on its way back for refund. Customer Rating: Summary: Great potential, but poor quality control Comment: In the times when the product was working, the result was excellent. We liked the way we could program the unit to cook for a certain number of hours and then have it switch over to warm-mode automatically. The food was evenly cooked, and temperature control didn't seem to be an issue for us. Here's what went wrong. The first unit we bought failed right out of the box, with a bad on-off switch. Still, once we got to turn it on, it managed (once) to cook an excellent meal. So we swapped it for another of the same model. It worked very well for all of four weeks, but then it started switching OFF without warning mid-cycle, ruining the food before we could realize what had happened. This is very disappointing, because this model has the potential to be one of the best. But I must conclude there's a quality control issue. I may very well switch brands. Customer Rating: Summary: slow cooker Comment: I love this slow cooker it is very simple to use. It is so easy you can basically pull it right out of box and cook! The crock pulls out from the base for easy clean up. It has a digital timer that you can set for however long the receipe calls for, the crock pot will then stop cooking and set itself for "warm" after the alloted time. This is a very nice feature. I really love this item. Customer Rating: Summary: Great for a working family Comment: The slow cooker is great, I have not have one that sealed before so I had a mess every time cooked. The programming is so easy and accurate. I really recommend this product the size is just right for my family of four with just the right amount of left overs for the boys the next day. Choosing Appliance -> Baking sheete Not too much romance here, but essential for any functional kitchen. Buy the heaviest pans possible. Also, you should consider buying a non-stick silicon sheet: they make baking very easy! Choosing Appliance -> Ladles Look for ladles that are made of one piece of stainless steel rather than a handle and dome which are spot welded together.
